LISTEN Online Exhibition for Creative Community Engagement Projects!

🎨🀝Are you part of a community group, association, organisation, grassroots movement, or creative initiative, such as a theatre or improv group, choir, art therapy project, graffiti crew, or independent artist collective? If your organisation runs a creative program that unites people and amplifies the voices of those who are often overlooked, this contest is for you. Share your project, inspire others, and help build a more inclusive Europe through the power of community creativity.

Why join?

  • Share a project that uses creative methods (arts, culture, storytelling, digital media, performance, etc.) to engage communities and promote inclusion.
  • Reach a European audience through the LISTEN virtual exhibition and social media.
  • Compete for one of three prizes: technical equipment worth 500 euros to support your community work.

What to submit?

You can submit one creative community engagement project that you are proud of, for example:

  • Youth engagement or intergenerational dialogue projects
  • Community arts, participatory murals, theatre, music, storytelling, or digital media projects
  • Community-based mental health and wellbeing initiatives

Accepted formats include photos, short videos (under 4 min), audio and podcasts (up to 6 min), digital posters, or short written pieces that bring your project to life.

How it works in 4 simple steps:

  1. Check the info page at www.thelistenproject.eu/contest-info for rules, timeline, and terms.
  2. Select one project and choose one key file (e.g., photo, video, audio). Write a brief description, ensuring you have obtained consent from everyone featured.
  3. Submit online on the LISTEN website at https://thelistenproject.eu/contest-form/, until March 15, 2026. Upload your files, and confirm the terms and conditions.
  4. Once published, share your entry and invite your community to explore the exhibition and vote during the public voting period (March 16 – April 16, 2026).

Selected projects will be featured in our digital gallery on the LISTEN project website (www.thelistenproject.eu/contest-submissions/) and open for a Europe-wide vote on Instagram! Winners will receive technical equipment valued at 500 euros to support their community engagement work and future projects. Winners will be encouraged to join online and present their projects and community engagement work at the LISTEN Policy Roundtable in Bulgaria (a hybrid event scheduled for later in 2026).
