On September 1st, 19th, 20th and 21st, Contextos and the Local Advisory Board RedeMOVE co-organised a capacity-building initiative that brought together professionals from non-governmental organisations, young people, and volunteers from across the Algarve region.
The initiative focused on two key priority areas identified through Portugal’s Participatory Assessment:
1. Hate speech
2. Well-being of technicians and volunteers
Through participatory and co-creation methodologies, participants explored these topics from the perspective of prevention and protection, working collectively to develop strategies to safeguard themselves and others from the negative impacts of hate speech and other forms of violence.
The event fostered meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and mutual learning, strengthening the capacity of local actors to promote inclusion, empathy, and respect within their communities
