On 23rd and 26th September 2025, the local capacity-building event was held in Verona, Italy, bringing together community organisations and civic initiatives dedicated to inclusive local development.
This initiative represented a valuable opportunity to enhance the skills, knowledge, and tools of grassroots actors working to engage citizens, particularly those at risk of social exclusion, in shaping more participatory, resilient, and equitable communities.
The two-day event focused on active participation, experiential learning, mentorship, and co-design. Through these approaches, the event aimed to:
- Strengthening organizational capacity to involve marginalized citizens in meaningful ways
- Providing practical tools for community engagement, participatory planning, and bottom-up methodologies
- Facilitating collaboration between organizations and local activators
- Initiating a territorial network capable of generating sustainable, long-term impact
Participants engaged in a series of interactive sessions and collaborative exercises aimed at bridging theory with practice, and fostering mutual support across sectors and local initiatives.
