From 23 to 26 April 2026, the LISTEN project organised the international study visit “We LISTEN, We CO-DESIGN a Festival” in Verona, bringing together LISTEN partners and local organisations from different countries. The visit highlighted the participation of LISTEN partners and local organisations from different countries, and emphasised the central theme of co-creation and community engagement through real-life participatory experiences, with a strong focus on collaborative processes between international participants and local stakeholders.
The programme included a short overview of the main activities such as visits to local organisations and community spaces, participatory workshops and non-formal methodologies, participation in the Italian Liberation Day celebrations and the “È festa d’Aprile” festival, as well as exchanges with young migrants and local communities.
The study visit highlighted that the programme was developed collaboratively with local stakeholders and organisations, in cooperation with the Municipality of Verona, ensuring strong local ownership and meaningful community involvement.
The activities also highlighted the use of participatory and non-formal methods such as storytelling, participatory video, silent play, dialogue, and shared community activities.
