Talee is a project designed to strengthen social cohesion in the Fossolo–Due Madonne neighbourhood of Bologna through events, workshops, and activities centred on the world of plants.
Trees and plants become tools for connection, engaging people of all ages, origins, and backgrounds: local residents, families, young people, seniors, migrants, the Salus Space community, and people living in shelters. The project focuses on interculturalism and active participation in neighbourhood life, using plants as a metaphor for community and as a vehicle for personal stories and shared knowledge.
Through gardening practices in public spaces, Talee promotes environmental sustainability as a social and cultural value, raising awareness of nature as a common good. Caring for plants becomes a way to care for people, combating loneliness and isolation, especially among older adults, and fostering new relationships in the local area.
We offer a free programme of interactive workshops open to everyone, weaving together artistic practices and the natural world through poetry, storytelling, embroidery, collage, theatre, and photography: building bonds both with nature and with one another.
